Beatdown Path
'Beatdown Path' is a music-based tower defense game where you control your towers with notes placed in a rhythm sequencer. This game was made for the 2025 GMTK game jam.
(made by just me in 4 days <3)
Gotten a lot of positive feedback already, and multiple people have expressed interest in seeing me continue to develop the game. This was the plan anyway, so I figure ill drop the discord for my (ex) main project so i can keep you all up to date. Its very bare bones and made for my other game - dont worry, revamp coming soon. See you there!
HOW TO PLAY:
the bookmark with a coin in the top right opens the shop. buy towers from here and place them by the path. place notes in the sequencer tab: the towers will attack enemies when their corresponding note is played.
the columns in the sequencer are in the order [Hihat, Kick, Snare, Bass]
press the button in the top left to start the next wave of enemies
you can click on your towers to view the available upgrades (there is 2 for each tower, except hihat, which has zero)
beat wave 10 to win!

What a great concept. Big fan of the implementation and art style. Good work!
